To wit:  Apparently Egon has fallen through an inter-dimensional rip and now he's in some horrible post apocalyptic horror show that he doesn't know how to escape from.  But he has his stuffed chicken, Hei Hei (named after, but not based off of the sidekick from Moana) to hold onto until he can find a way home.
